5 x 9 1/2 image on 8x10 printing paper of an image copied by Rosenfeld and Sons from a book of a photograph originally taken by J. Koehler of New York ca. 1903. Image is an overall exterior view of the three story building housing the business of "Ratsey & Lapthorn", a well-known sailmaker of the time. To the left is the hull of the cutter RELIANCE in a cradle, starboard beam view. The image is titled, "Robert Jacob's Ship Yard, City Island, N.Y." in the center. To the right it states, "Largest Sail Loft in the United States." and to the left under the boat hull, "Yacht Reliance." The photographer's name is in the lower right corner of the print.
