Lighter; U.S. Coast Guard cutter COURIER (built as COASTAL MESSENGER, 1945) Zippo lighter owned by USCG sailor Peter Kolasa, 1969; cigarette lighter, thin rectangular case, top attachd with hinge, brushed metal, logo on lower portion for the USCGC COURIER shows gold circle with two crossed anchors, inside circle is profile of the COURIER and an outline of the Eastern Seaboard of the United States, superimposed is circle; printed around "USCGC COURIER/ WTR 410"; embossed on bottom "BRADFORD, PA./ III ZIPPO II" (straight bars are a date code, indicate 1969).
