Mears (1829-1899); etched portrait of a woman of who looks to be European royalty of the 16th or 17th centuries (wearing a high collared ruff), bears some resemblance to Queen Elizabeth I, but parts of clothing look Italian or Spanish, making it possible that she is royalty from that area, or simply a common, unidentified woman of that time period.
