8x10 gelatin silver print made by Rosenfeld and Sons from an original negative photographed July 23, 1948 on board the vessel HURRICANE III, showing a view of the interior of the deckhouse living area with a built in early television set, a young girl seated in the padded chair pretending to watch the television, magazines, and to the left stairs leading up to the afterdeck as well as down into the interior of the vessel. HURRICANE III was a 54' cruiser built in 1947 by John Trumpy & Sons, designed by C. Nelson and owned by Allen B. DuMont. Original negative destroyed by Rosenfelds before being acquired by Mystic Seaport but neg. sleeve and print are available for viewing.
