10x8 gelatin silver print made by Rosenfeld and Sons from an original negative photographed July 23, 1948 on board the vessel HURRICANE III, of a partial view of the interior of the engine room showing a Gothard rotary converter and a General Electric Tungar battery charger. HURRICANE III was a 54' cruiser built in 1947 by John Trumpy & Sons, designed by C. Nelson and owned by Allen B. DuMont. Original negative destroyed by Rosenfelds before being acquired by Mystic Seaport but neg. sleeve and print are available for viewing.
