Image is a partial view of the catamaran STARS & STRIPES, #US1, off San Diego, California with crew on board seated on the starboard side of the vessel with the fixed wing to the left in the image. The vessel's narrow bow is diving through a wave and the stern is lifted out of the water showing the rudder. STARS & STRIPES was 60' and raced against NEW ZEALAND in the controversial 1988 America's Cup held off San Diego, California.
