35mm color slide photographed by Rosenfeld and Sons believed to have been taken in May of 1958 of NYALA and GLEAM undersail on Long Island Sound. Image of NYALA, on the right, overlapping GLEAM, on the left, forward of masts on a port tack in calm seas. GLEAM was a 67'11" twelve meter sloop, sail #US11, built by Henry B. Nevins, Inc., of City Island, New York from, designs by Clinton Hoadley Crane in 1937. NYALA was a 12 meter sloop, US #12, built in 1938 by H.B. Nevins, Inc. and designed by Sparkman & Stephens, Inc.
