Both vessels show a port quarter view on a mild port tack with mainsails running free in a calm sea on a sunny day with a blue sky in the background. NYALA was a 12 meter sloop, US #12, built in 1939 by H.B. Nevins, Inc. in City Island, New York and designed by Sparkman & Stephens, Inc. VIM was a 12 meter sloop, #US15, built in 1939 by H.B. Nevins in City Island, New York. Designed by Sparkman and Stephens. Mount info. processor's stamp: "Made in U.S.A. / (red) 10"." Manufacturer's info.: "Kodachrome Transparency / Processed by Kodak".
