Image of VIM, right foreground, starboard bow view, with a partial view of GLEAM, in the background with spinnaker set, downwind, port tack, port bow closeup, calm sea. VIM was a 70' 12 meter sloop, #US15, built in 1939 by H.B. Nevins in City Island, New York. Designed by Sparkman and Stephens. GLEAM was a 67' 11" 12 meter sloop, sail #US11, built by Henry B. Nevins, Inc., of City Island, New York from, designs by Clinton Hoadley Crane in 1937. Mount info. processor's stamp: "Made in U.S.A. / (red) 15". Embossed: "MAY 58".
