35mm color slide photographed by Rosenfeld and Sons in August of 1970. Image is a partial view of WINDIGO, sail #354, close up leeward, port tack, board reach, showing the sails. The spinnaker (medium blue with red top and red Maltese cross), jib, main, mizzen staysail (light blue) and mizzen. WINDIGO was a 73' auxiliary yawl, built in 1956 by Henry R. Hinkley of Southwest Harbor, Maine from designs by Sparkman & Stephens. Original name was VENTURER and was renamed in 1961 as NORTHERN LIGHT, then AUDACIOUS in 1964, WINDIGO II in 1968 and WINDIGO in 1974. Owner from 1968-1973 was Walter S. Gubelman. Mount info. stamped: "MADE IN U.S.A. / (black) 35 / AUG 70N2". Manufacturer's info.: "Kodachrome TRANSPARENCY / PROCESSED BY Kodak". Stamped: "[PHOTOGRAPHY] BY STANLEY ROSENFELD".
