35mm color slide photographed by Rosenfeld and Sons in May of 1958. Partial view of VIM, in background,starboard leeward beam view, port tack, reaching, being overlapped by GLEAM in foreground on a windward position, same tack. VIM was a 70' 12 meter sloop, #US15, built in 1939 by H.B. Nevins in City Island, New York from designs by Sparkman and Stephens. GLEAM was a 67' 11" 12 meter sloop, sail #US11, built by Henry B. Nevins, Inc., of City Island, New York from, designs by Clinton Hoadley Crane in 1937. Mount info. processor's stamp: "Made in U.S.A. / (red) 21". Embossed: "MAY 58".
