35mm color slide photographed by Rosenfeld and Sons in May of 1958. Image of GLEAM, foreground, starboard beam view, port tack, windward, broad reach, overlapping VIM, in background, leeward and same tack. GLEAM was a 67' 11" 12 meter sloop, sail #US11, built by Henry B. Nevins, Inc., of City Island, New York from, designs by Clinton Hoadley Crane in 1937 and was owned in 1958 by W. Mahlon Dickeson. VIM was a 12 meter sloop, #US15, built in 1939 by H.B. Nevins in City Island, New York from designs by Sparkman and Stephens and owned in 1958 by John N. Mathews. Mount info. processor's stamp: "Made in U.S.A. / (red) 23". Embossed: "MAY 58". Manufacturer's info.: "Kodachrome Transparency / Processed by Kodak".
