RUNNING TIDE, sail #4444, in the foreground with the red spinnaker, and SIRONA, sail #21313, on the right, with a yellow and medium blue horizontal striped spinnaker. All vessels starboard bow leeward on a port tack running free. DEMON, auxiliary sloop, sail #26070, was found listed in the S.O.R.C. 1978 race results listing with shipmaster listed as Albert Gilson. RUNNING TIDE, sail #4444, was a 60'6" auxiliary sloop built in 1969 by Huisman of Vollenhove, Netherlands from designs by Sparkman & Stephens, Inc. and was sailed in 1978 by A.G. Van Metre. SIRONA, a 48' auxiliary sloop, sail #21313, is believed to be a Swan 48 built by or before 1978 from designs by Sparkman & Stephens and built by Oy Nautor Ab Company of Finland.
