Single half Sunrise Tellin, TELLINA RADIATA, shell from the collection of Captain Richard C. Mears (1829-1899). Shell is small (overall: 1-1/8 x 2-1/8 in.) and has an ovate or elongated shape. Originally off-white in color with pink stripes radiating from the hinge but has since yellowed and faded. Commonly found along beaches across Southern Florida and Northern South America.
