Mears (1829-1899); single monogrammed hatpin, silver (or silver plated) pin, with a flat, round, possibly gold plated "button" top, with a monogram most likely for Emma Josephine Van Valkenburgh (daughter of Nellie Goodsell Mears and Joseph Dwight Van Valkenburgh); monogrammed on top of hatpin "E J V".
