Clasp; Engraved box clasp; from the collection of Captain Richard C. Mears (1829-1899); small metal box clasp for a necklace or bracelet; two smaller attachments that would be attached to the bracelet or necklace itself are attached to the larger parts of the box clasp by four small "o" rings (two on either side); etched into the underside of the clasp "M A P".
