Pendant; Engraved pen pendant; from the collection of Captain Richard C. Mears (1829-1899); small metal pendant, thought to be a pen, designed to be attached to a chain of some sort; engraved on main barrel is "N M V V", most likely the initials for Nellie Mears Van Valkenburgh; engraved at the top "14 CT. FILLED", and a symbol (most likely of the manufacturer) consisting of the letter "H", with a "W" above and an "S" below.
