Earrings; Set of black earrings; from the collection of Captain Richard C. Mears (1829-1899); set of black earrings, most likely glass, circular in shape; design on front of earrings is of a shield, divided in half on a diagonal, with two stars on the upper portion of the shield, and one on the lower portion; each earring attaches to ear by a screw in backing.
