Pocket watch; Railroad Special pocket watch; from the collection of Captain Richard C. Mears (1829-1899); pocket watch, silver with a yellow face; large face wound and set for hours and minutes, while smaller face at the bottom used to record seconds; printed on front of watch face "ARISTOCRAT/ RAILROAD SPECIAL"; back of watch has an embossed image of a train; top of watch is attached by a clasp to a metal and leather fob; most likely made by the E. Ingraham Watch Company in the early 1950s; watch is housed in a green velvet jewelery box with a mustard colored velvet interior bottom and silk interior top; printed on the top silk part is "CLARIDGE/ OXNARD/ SANTA MONICA" (most likely not the original box the watch came in).
