Tooth; Sperm whale tooth; from the collection of George Elliott (1810-1862); tooth of a sperm whale; narrows towards tip and is mostly smooth, with some ridging towards the base; wide base is hollow, but becomes more solid towards the tip; came in burlap bag (2007.12.24) with other teeth and tusks.
