Tooth; Portion of tusk or tooth; from the collection of George Elliott (1810-1862); portion of a tusk or a tooth, cylindrical in shape, and ridged on the outside; hollow through center, though noticibly thicker at one end than the other; one end has a base that looks as though it's been filed down, and piece as a whole looks as though it was originally fairly long, suggesting that it may be a portion of a walrus tusk, rather than a whale's tooth; came in burlap bag (2007.12.24) with other teeth and tusks.
