Postcards; Postcard; Captain Higgins and Captain King; From the Eduard Stackpole Collection; postcard of two men, most likely Captain Benjamin A. Higgins and Captain Edward A. King (two whaling captains who sailed out of New Bedford, MA, and both were Captain of the bark MORNING STAR at one time); image on front looks as though photographer whited out something behind the two men before the postcard was printed; the back of the card is printed off-center; printed across the top of the entire back reads "POST CARD"; there is a small line dividing the back into two sections, with the left side being labeled "CORRESPONDENCE" and the right side labeled "NAME AND ADDRESS"; in the upper right corner where the postage stamp would go is printed "PLACE POSTAGE/ STAMP HERE" above and below an image which reads "CYKO" (the brand of post card paper on which the picture was printed); handwritten in ink running along the right edge of the back of postcard reads "Capts Higgins + King".
