5x4 safety negative photographed by Rosenfeld and Sons September 30, 1939. Image of the yawl IT undersail on a starboard tack with deck visible. IT was built in 1902 as a yawl with a centerboard by George Lawley and Son of South Boston, Massachusetts from designs by Arthur Binney. The centerboard was removed in 1916 and power was installed the same year. Earlier names were: TANAGER, ROSALIE V, MARNO and PHANTOM III. The owner in 1939 was Chandler Bates.
