Closeup image of Gem #3929 with a blue and white spinnaker racing TROON, #2750, carrying a red, pink and yellow spinnaker on a starboard tack on a broad reach with a view from leeward with TROON just off of GEM's windward quarter. GEM was a 44'5" Custom 45 auxiliary sloop built by 1970 by Robert E. Derecktor, Inc. of Mamaroneck, New York from designs by Scott C. Kaufman. TROON, a 45' auxiliary sloop, known as the Whitby 45, was built in 1969 at Whitby Boat Works, Ltd. of Ajax Ontario, from designs by Cuthbertson & Cassian and her port of registry was Rye, New York in 1972. Mount info. stamped in red: "26 / JUN 72N5" and also stamped in black: "[PHOTOGR]APH BY STANLEY ROSENFELD". Manufacturer's info. stamped on verso: "Kodachrome / TRANSPARENCY / PROCESSED BY KODAK".
