Image of WINDIGO, #354, reaching on starboard tack with blue spinnaker, blue jib, white main, light blue mizzen staysail and white mizzen set. View from leeward aft. WINDIGO was a 73' auxiliary yawl, sail #354, built in 1956 by Henry R. Hinckley of Southwest Harbor, Maine from designs by Sparkman & Stephens. Originally named VENTURER, she was renamed in 1961 as NORTHERN LIGHT, then AUDACIOUS in 1964, WINDIGO II in 1968 and WINDIGO in 1974. Handwritten mount info., "Windigo / NYYC / Stanley Rosenfeld". Manufacturer's stamp in red, "9 AUG 68R7" and in yellow, "MADE IN U.S.A U.S. PAT. NO. 3,013,354". Manufacturer's stamp on verso, "Kodachrome / TRANSPARENCY / PROCESSED BY KODAK".
