WINDIGO was a 73' auxiliary yawl, sail #354, built in 1956 by Henry R. Hinckley of Southwest Harbor, Maine from designs by Sparkman & Stephens. Originally named VENTURER, she was renamed in 1961 as NORTHERN LIGHT, then AUDACIOUS in 1964, WINDIGO II in 1968 and WINDIGO in 1974. Mount info. stamped in red, "10 AUG 72N4".
