35mm color slide photographed by Rosenfeld and Sons. Image of WILD FLOWER, #23311, CARINA, #315, GEM, #95 and SCARAMOUCHE, #20981 beating to windward on starboard tack, view from windward aft. WILDFLOWER was a custom built 40'7" auxiliary sloop, sail #US 23311, built by Crane and Randle R. Scarborough from designs by Britton Chance, ca. 1979 for Randle R. Scarborough. CARINA, sail #315, was a 48'3" masthead sloop and ocean racer, believed to be the 3rd one of this name, built by Paasch Marine Service of Erie, Pennsylvania from designs by McCurdy & Rhodes in 1969 for Commodore Richard S. Nye. GEM was a 44'6" auxiliary sloop, sail #95, built by Robert E. Derecktor, Inc. of Mamaroneck, New York from designs by Scott Kaufman and her owner in 1978 was William Ziegler III. SCARAMOUCHE, sail #20981, was a 42'1" auxiliary sloop built by Handy Boat Service from designs by Eve Marie Tanton by the 1970's and her owner in 1978 was Merle Hallett.
