35mm color slide photographed by Rosenfeld and Sons in March, 1976. Image of ARIES, #14876, and SORCERY, #10575, beating on port tack in rough seas with the view from the stern. ARIES was an auxiliary sloop, sail #14786, built by Palmer Johnson of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin from designs by Ron Holland in 1976. SORCERY, ex-EQUATION, sail #10575, was a 68' Britton Chance design and Derecktor Boat Yard built canoe-type maxi-yacht ketch built in 1971 on City Island, New York. Her name became SORCERY (III) in 1976. Mount info. stamped; "(black) 25 MAR 76N13". Manufacturer's info. embossed; "MADE IN U. S. A" / "Kodachrome / SLIDE / PROCESSED BY KODAK".
