6x8 glass negative photographed by Morris Rosenfeld in the summer of 1912 during the elimination trials or races for the Harmsworth Trophy held in Huntington Bay, New York. Image shows a starboard quarter view of the hydroplane MONA, underway at high speed with two people visible on board and an unidentified hydroplane, possibly ANKLE DEEP, to port. Crayon marks are visible on the negative. Written on the original negative sleeve: "International Race / Mona [underlined] / Plate 412 [crossed out] #368 / Box 33".
