A souvenir bookmark with a silk label of the QUEEN MARY from 1936. The label is an exquisitely woven depiction of the ship with the words "RMS QUEEN MARY 1936" woven in. It is mounted on cardstock, with text that explains it is intended to illustrate the fine craftsmanship of the company's weavers at the BIF, the British Industries Fair. The company, J.& J. Cash Ltd. of Coventry, was founded in 1846 to produce silk ribbons and labels, and it continues in business today.
