A dinner menu from September 20, 1967. This was the QUEEN MARY's last transatlantic voyage to New York, and as the menu notes it was its 1,000th crossing. It also happened to be the day when the new QUEEN ELIZABETH 2 was launched in Clydebank, Scotland. The dinner menu is in French and English and is elegant and lavish, but compared to earlier menus there are far fewer options listed. The chef's suggested meal is melon, cream of chicken soup, poached fillet of bream, baked American ham, cut corn saute, roast potatoes, and coupe framboise. The cover of the menu has a nighttime photograph of the ship at dock.
