Vendors on a street in Cairo in 1908. On the right are men selling fruit from baskets. On the left, there is a man carrying water. The jug he carries on his shoulder has a long spout so that he can pour water by simply bending over. Beyond this street seems to be the river, with boat masts visible. From a 1908 album of photos from a voyage to the Mediterranean on the CARPATHIA.
