Photograph of the MORRO CASTLE after it grounded at Asbury Park, with a view of the bow, which looks less damaged than the central part of the ship where the fire began and quickly spread. People have walked out on the rocks to observe the ship. There is still some smoke visible, so this was probably taken either September 8, the day of the fire, or on September 9, when some 250,000 people viisted Asbury Park to see the wrecked hull which had grounded just off the beach.
