One of a set of 8 photographs of the MORRO CASTLE taken on September 8, 1934, the day of the disaster, after the wreck had grounded off Asbury Park. The ship's name and the date 9-8-34 are written on the front in red pen, and on the back it says "'Morro Castle' Sep. 8, 1934 Notice the name of the boat still remains to show who she is while the rest of the paint is completely burned away."
