Photograph of the wreck of the MORRO CASTLE, aground off of Asbury Park, NJ. This is an unusual photograph taken from the water and which shows a dramatic slant to starboard that is not visible in the many photos taken from the beach. The ship seems to still be smoking, so this may have been taken on the day of the disaster, September 8, 1934.
