A photograph of the Brooklyn Bridge on its 50th anniversary, May 25, 1933. Ships are gathered in the river, andt two biplanes are flying over. There's a sign on the bridge that says 1883-1933. It was a rainy day, so the view is misty. On the right is Pier 13, the Ward Line pier in New York, and the two funnels of the MORRO CASTLE are visible there with their double white stripes. The ship was scheduled to deapart for its usual run to Cuba the next day.
