Second class tea menu from the MAURETANIA, dated August 3, 1908. The manu options include sausages with mashed potatoes, rump steak and onions, scrambled eggs with ham, boiled eggs, fried potatoes, a selection of cold items including ham, roast lamb and chicken salad, a compote of prunes and rice, and pastry and toast. Unusually for a ship menu, the back has a wine list on the back, of beverages for purchase. It includes wine and spirits but also cigars, cigarettes, tobacco and "medicinal waters." The wine menu is dated June 29, 1908. The food menu is purple and white, with an image of the ship at the top surrounded by an embossed floral design. The Cunard Line name above it is also embossed.
