A luncheon menu from the MAURETANIA dated July 7, 1924. It is simple but elegant, a chicken dish as the main course, asparagus, and both baked Alaska and petits fours for dessert. The cover has a beautiful art nouveau style painting of a mermaid. The menu also has a little note at left that says "Birthday greetings to Rollin E. Miller on his 21st Anniversary." Rollin Miller, of Libertyville, Illinois, had recently graduated from Yale and applied for a passport that spring, noting he had passage on the MAURETANIA on July 2 and intended to visit Belgium, Holland, France, Great Britain, Italy, Germany and Switzerland.
