A copy of a shipboard news booklet called the Cunard Daily Bulletin for September 15, 1910, from the MAURETANIA. This was news received by shipboard telegram and printed daily aboard ship, offered for sale for 5 cents. The text includes a story about the Panama Canal then under construction, a page of celebrity gossip, pieces of news likely to be of interest to travellers, a summary of a book about the North Pole, a serialized story, and information about shipboard events. There is also a First Class ("Saloon") passenger list printed on page 15-18 and a sailing schedule on page 27. And, of course, there are many advertisements geared towards travelers, for everything from hotels to motor cars to Irish lace to Worcestershire sauce.
