Printing block of the schooner BRILLIANT. Block shows reverse image of the starboard side of the BRILLIANT at sea. At least six individuals are seen on board. Block in fair condition; some damage to the metal plate visible around the BRILLIANT, may be from use or unknown damage. Wood block stained with ink from use. "BRILLIANT" written in pen and marker on back of block. Printing block was found in the Village Exhibits workshop at the museum where they have been for many years. Previously used for some images in museum publications. Chris White brought them up to CSR around 2012 as potential collections objects. Found in the collection. Overall: 4 3/4 x 6 x 1 in.
