Model of Cunard Cruise Line’s CUNARD PRINCESS or CUNARD COUNTESS built by Arthur G. Henning Inc. in Mount Vernon, NY. Used as a travel agency model to entice passers by to come in and inquire about taking a cruise. Model fully painted; port side of the bow marked “CUNARD PRINCESS”, starboard side of the bow marked “CUNARD COUNTESS”. Cunard logo additionally marked along the bridge. Sitting on plastic base made to resemble tropical turquoise waters; port side plate reads “CUNARD PRINCESS”, starboard side plate reads “CUNARD COUNTESS”. Maker’s plate off the stern of the boat reads “MADE BY / ARTHUR G. HENNING / MOUNT VERNON, N.Y.” Plexiglass vitrine glued to the base, cannot be removed. Overall good condition; plexi has some scratches. Overall: 8 x 28 3/4 x 7 1/2 in.
