National Export Exposition Medal in purple velvet case. Image of Benjamin Franklin sitting looking right molded on the front of the medal; above reads "NATIONAL EXPORT EXPOSITION". Verso: "AWARDED / BY THE / NATIONAL / EXPORT EXPOSITION / TO / EDWIN S. CRAMP DIRECTOR / SOUVENIR / ON RECOMMENDATION OF THE / FRANKLIN INSTITUTE / PHILADELPHIA / 1899". Inscription framed by laurel leaves. Medal in overall good condition; some discoloration and loss of lettering from rubbing. Case made of purple velvet; interior lined with purple silk. Overall excellent condition. Overall: 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 x 3/4 in. (case closed); 2 x 2 in. (medal).
