Empty box from The American Dry Plate Company. Flat rectangular box, used to hold dry plates. Flaky red and white cover, reading: "The American / DAP Co. [letters stylized as a logo] / Manufactured By / The American Dry Plate Co. / Worcester, Mass., U.S.A. / Keep in a dry place - Open in ruby light." In the upper center of the box, below "American" and above the logo, there is pencil handwriting reading "May Grace Alma et Als." To the write of "The," there is a "#3" in sharpie. On the upper ridge of the box cover, in pencil, reads " Dry plate sleeve inside with handwritten note "May Scholfield / Standing" along upper edge. Overall: 3 3/8 x 5 1/2 x 1 1/8 in.
