Box of dry plates manufactured by the Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester, NY. Box has faux wood grain. Cover label reads "Eastman's Dry Plates. / MANUFACTURED BY / EASTMAN KODAK CO., ROCHESTER, N.Y. / TO BE OPENED ONLY IN PHOTOGRAPHIC DARK ROOM"; stamped on upper edge label "Red Seal, signifies, Extra Rapid. / Yellow Seal, " Rapid. / Green Seal, " Non-Halation."; on bottom "To open box run a thin knife blade around under the sides. The cover can then be lifted off."; on right "1 DOZEN / 5 X 7 / EASTMAN / PLATES / EXTRA / EMULSION / NUMBER". Sticker on bottom reads "These Plates are very sensitive - Open in ruby light only"; stamp "2316". Written in pencil on bottom "My Residence / Dr. Marion [?] / Niantic Views". Overall fair condition; corners of box are worn and beginning to tear apart. Overall: 5 3/8 x 7 1/2 x 1 1/4 in.
