Ceramic apothecary jar with removable lid with label from Mystic Pharmacy; dated circa 1910 based on pharmacy manager Charles E. Gaskell and census records. White ceramic cylandrical container with detached ceramic lid; body has cracked and stained beneath glazing, crazing across entire container. Label reads 'Mystic Pharmacy / CHARLES E. GASKELL, Manag[illeg.] / OPPOSI[T]E HOXIE HOUSE / MYSTIC, CONN.'; some of label torn away and reglued, others missing. Handwritten in the center of the label 'Boric / Acid'. Overall fair condition; ceramic is stained and there is evidence of crazing across the jar from thermal expansion, label faded and torn in places, label has been reglued in places. Overall: 4 7/8 x 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 in.
