4 1/4 x 3 1/4 in. gelatin silver print glued to a mat backing. Image is a port aft view of the sloop AGLAIA undersail on starboard tack. MAUD, later known as AGLAIA, was a 52' cutter built by Wood Brothers of Boston, Massachusetts from designs by R.M Wood in 1886. Ink note on back reads, "Auxiliary Keel Sloop / Aglaia / 52' x 35' x 12 1/2' x 7 1/2'" and pencil note reads, "404".
