Photograph album, Vol. I; green, cloth-bound, embossed in silver on front cover "Photographs"; label on inside back cover "WILLIAM C. CULLEN./ IMPORTER & DEALER/ IN/ PHOTOGRAPHIC/ SUPPLIES./ 61 WILLIAM ST. NEW YORK."; handwritten in pencil on first page "Trip to Cuba, Nov. 10-25, 1900, made by Elihu Root, accompanied by Edward W. Root, who took the photographs. Once in Cuba, they went with General Leonard Wood, Governor General of the Island, to Barahano[?], on the south Coast, and from there followed the south coast in the government yacht KANAWHA to Santiago. From Santiago they steamed around the Eastern end of the Island and went north to St. Augustine, Fla. The photographs are described on their backs and can be slipped out. E W Root (Oct 1933)."
