A brass bell with mounting arm; a separate sliding bracket to accept the arm and support it from a vertical surface; a separate brass clapper with a bell pull, worked as a monkey’s fist, attached to the clapper; a metal label, attached by screws to the upper front, reads: JOSEPH STEPHENSON / WHALESHIP CHARLES W. MORGAN / JULY 1918 – SEPT. 1919 / NEW BEDFORD, MASS.”; also inscribed on the shaft of the clapper and in the bell, inside top: 027-12-6420.
