Pitcher manufactured by Anchor Pottery. Goes with bowl 1988.87.2). Marked "ANCHOR POTTERY/ (ANCHOR)/ J.E.N./ TRENTON, N.J./ SEMI-PORCELAIN" is stamped on bottom. Raised foliate design around widest part, handle and rim. Faded gold overglaze on rim. Clusters of pansies and forget-me-nots decorate the pitcher. Probably made after 1894. Lucy McInnes, who lived in Wakefield and Carolina, RI, was original owner. Small crack in base. Ref: Warren E. Cox, "The Book of Pottery and Porcelain", Vol. 2, pg. 1099.
