SHIPS PLANS
1904-1956

233 sheets, representing 54 designs. These plans are from the personal collection of Clifford H. (Cliff) Mosher (1900-1988), marine engineer and 1926 graduate of Brown University. His maritime career included employment at the Design Division of the Water Supply Board, Providence, Rhode Island; the Norfolk Navy Yard, Virginia; United Dry Docks, Staten Island Plant, New York; the Marine Design Division of the Department of Plant and Structures, New York City; the Brooklyn Navy Yard, New York; and the Boston Naval Shipyard, Massachusetts. In 1959 he retired as supervising engineer from the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery, Maine. These plans drawn by Mr. Mosher and others were found among his files. They range in date from 1904 to 1956 and contain plans for recreational vessels for rowing and sail, auxiliary and power yachts, commercial vessels, and naval vessels. Also included are plans specifically for use in ship model construction.
